Sadly A Favorite ‘Stranger Things’ Character Will Not Be Making A Return

** The following article contain several spoilers from the Netflix original series “Stranger Things” **

(PCM) Fans of the Netflix original series “Stranger Things” will be saddened to learn that one of their beloved characters will sadly not be making a return for season two. For some reason fans absolutely fell in love with the quirky character of Barb, Nancy’s best friend, who tragically lost her life to the monster during her trip to the Upside Down. Fans were holding out hope that somehow Barb would pull through, however new comments made by series creator Matt Duffer to IGN appear to seal Barb’s unfortunate fate.

Even though there was a clear shot of Barb’s corpse seen by Eleven when visiting the Upside Down, there was still some amount of hope that Barb would somehow survive. Matt Duffer says to IGN, “I can’t see it happening. But Barb will not be forgotten. We’ll make sure there’s some justice for Barb. People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn’t seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We’re just not spending any screen time on it. It’s not like her parents are like ‘Oh Barb left. She died!’ Season One actually takes place over the course of six or seven days – it’s a really short period of time. So part of what we want to do with hypothetical Season 2 is to explore the repercussions of everything that happened.”

May Barb sadly rest in peace, however something tells us that peace and the Upside Down do not go hand in hand! Now we will see Nancy have to wrestle with the guilt of letting her best friend die while getting it on with Steve w/the good hair! Yuck!

Duffer also revealed that we may not have seen the end of evil Dr. Brenner. “I would say that if we were going to kill Brenner…as an audience member watching the show, if that was his death, that would be very unsatisfying to me — when the monster jumps on him and we cut away. He would deserve much more than that as an ending. So yes, there’s a possibility of seeing him again.”

Ugh! No Barb and more Dr. Brenner, either way we can’t wait to see how season two will play out!
