WWE Gets Ready To Go Into ‘Payback’

(PCM) The WWE universe is gearing up for Payback. The annual WWE show after WrestleMania will take place on Sunday May 1st, in Chicago at the Allstate Arena. The show is looking interesting and is a far cry from last year’s show. There are a lot of new faces and a lot of new feuds. These new feuds stem from two things: the first is of course payback from the recent WrestleMania and the second is, due to the fact that there is a new man running the show. (No not really. Vince still runs the show, but hey, we can think that way.) Shane McMahon might have lost his match against the Undertaker at WrestleMania, but he has been running the WWE since the following Monday night when his dad handed him the reigns. WWE never ceases to amaze me as a fan. They might have their ups and downs, but they are an entertaining brand. The current path WWE is on is giving a lot of newer talent TV time, which gives the viewer the feeling of mixing the old with a lot of the new.

The matches for the show which has been announced so far are as follows: Charlotte VS Natalya for the WWE’S Women’s Championship. This should be a very good technical match. And the thing I’m looking forward to see the most is the return of Bret the “Hitman Hart”, who will be in Natalya’s corner. This will be the first time we have seen Bret since he announced his battle with cancer a few months ago. Ric Flair will obviously be in Charlotte’s corner as he has been during all her recent matches.

Dean Ambrose Vs Chris Jericho: Stemming from Dean Ambrose’s overtaking of Jericho’s, “The Highlight Reel” into what Dean Ambrose turned into “Ambrose Asylum.” Jericho always playing the overzealous type wants to see who is the best. We shall see the outcome of this one.

The Miz with Maryse by his side Vs Cesaro: The Intercontinental Champion, The Miz will defend his title against Cesaro. The King of the Swings is returning after a shoulder injury to try to take on The Miz to make the championship something to be talked about.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns Vs AJ Styles: After winning the title at WrestleMania against HHH, Reigns is looking forward to meeting his first major challenge. Reigns will meet that challenge in the No 1 contender AJ Styles. AJ won the chance to meet the champion at Payback after competing in a hell of a match on Raw in a Fatal Four Way match. AJ is hot off the heels of a having a great feud with Chris Jericho. Should be a good match.

Sami Zayn Vs Kevin Owen’s: These two are amazing in the ring. Their passion for old school brawling and wrestling comes off so well. The spot at this past WrestleMania where Sami hits that move on the ladder leaving Owens unconscious still in my mind. Should probably be the match of the night in my opinion.

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady Vs The Vaudevillains: This match will be for the WWE Tag Team No. 1 Contenders Tournament Final. Set up by Shane Mcmahon to bring in the more under card guys up to the mainstream level.
