Will Wrestlemania Take A Bite Out Of Walking Dead?

Walking-Dead-Wrestlemania

(PCM) So I was sitting down this past Sunday night like many people do and was enjoying another intense episode of AMC’s  The Walking Dead. At the end of the show I watched the preview for next week’s episode and came to the realization that there are only three episodes left for this season. It didn’t really dawn on me my dilemma until the next night on Monday Night Raw. The number of days to sports entertainment’s biggest event is dwindling down, and just so happens to fall on the same night as the season finale of  The Walking Dead.

I’m torn, because I’m a huge fan of both things. And this season of Walking Dead is so intense and dark I feel almost like I shouldn’t be watching such things happen. If you have been following this season you know very well what I’m talking about. It’s almost like Rick and his crew have become the villains instead of the survivors that so many people have grown to love. I stay away from Internet rumors about the show but the Internet has been buzzing on what might transpire on the finale. As a fan of the show I have a feeling that Rick’s team is going to get hit with a rather large dose of karma. We might be saying goodbye to a character that we have grown to love since The Walking Dead premiered on AMC back on Halloween night of 2010. We will just have to wait and see, however someone near and dear will surely end up meeting their fate at the hands of Negan and his trusty sidekick Lucille.

But will Walking Dead lose any viewers on the night of their finale? It’s a question I have been asking myself for a couple days now. The Walking Dead and WWE have some of the same fan base. But what will fan’s choice to watch? Will they watch a live event? The Superbowl of wrestling or set their DVR’S for something much deader? This finale will definitely be something to remember. WWE is a popular product that is seen on a global scale by millions of people. The Walking Dead is as popular now as when it first started. The WWE and Walking Dead have crossed paths in the past such as the San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. Each trying to get fans attention. It’s a mixed breed that works phenomenally from a marketing stand point, but fans will have to choose wisely, because on April 3rd, 2016 two of the most watched programs on TV will go head to head.
