Marvel Studios Ends Comic-Con 2013 Panel With Avengers Sequel Announcement!

Age-Of-Ultron1(PCM) The Marvel Studios panel at Comic-Con is always known to create quite a buzz and this year was no exception. After discussing news and having the casts of both “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Guardians Of The Galaxy” on stage to discuss their respective upcoming films “Avengers” director Joss Whedon uttered the words “Age of Ultron” and the room went wild! It appears that within the Marvel film universe the “Iron Man”, “Thor”, and “Captain America” sequels will tie directly into “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”

This announcement of course led to a ton of speculation buzzing around the room, as the footage that was shown to accompany the announcement resembled the Iron Man helmet transformed into the Ultron symbol featured in the comic book classics. Whedon has previously stated that the “Avengers” sequel will be quite a bit darker than the first film. It is just too bad that we have to wait until 2015 to see this film come to fruition!

In other Marvel universe news, it seems that the new TV series “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” will also tie in with the film’s as the show features Agent Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, who makes a return from the dead to lead S.H.I.E.L.D in the investigations of superheros. It is unclear if Agent Coulson will be appearing in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” as Joss Whedon is still toying around with the idea, but we should still keep an eye out from some cross overs between the film franchise and the new TV series, just not sure in what capacity at this time.
