It feels like I’ve been struck with a Langlock jinx whenever I attempt to describe the feeling of the impending end to the Harry Potter franchise that shaped generations.
In the final movie installment (the second half to the final book in the series), our beloved trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione continue on their quest for Voldemort’s final horcruxes which leads them back to their home at Hogwarts. When Voldemort discovers what the three have been up to, the biggest battle of all begins, involving everyone we’ve grown to know and love (and those we’ve grown to hate as well). The Wizarding World will never be the same and neither will we.
If we can manage to see the movie screen through the tears in our eyes, we’re guessing this is going to be the film to beat all films. And if we miss something the first time around due to our sobs, well that’s why we can go see it over and over and over. You’re not going to miss one minute of this final Harry Potter movie… including the epilogue.
While the release may mark the end of one of the most incredible series to ever be put to film, Harry Potter will live on within the fans forever.
It All Ends July 15th, 2011.
